Ducks and Bunnies and Kids....Oh my!

Today is the first day of our Spring portrait event "Baby Ducks and Bunnies". Wow! It is so funny to watch Kim "the Bunny Wrangler" chase around all of these cute little animals.... and kids. It adds a whole new element to a portrait session when you add animals. Above is the first session from this morning--Miss Claiborne Jones. She was so sweet, and easy to photograph. Okay, now back to work!

Sneak peek!!! Miss Annalee...

Since I haven't posted all week, I decided to put one of my Friday morning sessions on today. Here is little Annalee. We had so much fun yesterday morning. She has sooo much personality and even crawled for the first time right before our eyes!! It will be no time before she is scooting all over the house! Have fun Christy and Elliott! Thanks so much for your business!

Wow! What a Saturday!!!

When I woke up this morning, I knew the weather would be a challenge! I had two outside sessions booked for the morning and it was 49 degrees with 37 mph wind gusts, Yikes!! I was worried most of all about my clients comfort, but coming in at a close second, my concern was their hair!!!!!! I know that sounds a little funny, but it's true! Who wants a portrait with their hair blowing in every direction? Anyway, I had a session with little Ella Claire first. What a trooper! Here is a sneak peek of her session. She is an angel; and, today, she was showing us her shy side....

Next was a family of eleven people. Six adults and five children. Marlin Nesmith is a proud father and grandfather and is very good about keeping his family portrait up to date! What an extraordinary family! Not one complaint about the cold or the wind. Here is a sneak peek of a great portrait captured in less than desirable conditions....but you would never know!

Thanks to everyone today who braved the weather! I hope you are all nice and warm now in the comfort of your homes!! Happy weekend!

Statesboro Magazine Launch Party

Statesboro Magazine hosted a launch party this past Thursday at GSU's Botanical Gardens. What a FABULOUS turnout! My friend, and Leadership Bulloch classmate, Erica Sellers, is such a dedicated part of the success of the magazine. At the party, Jenny Foss (Editor) introduced several people who contribute to making the magazine so great. Four members of the Camellia Garden Club, Marilyn Bruce, Vicki Hill, Beth Matthews, and Deborah Hatten were featured on this issue's cover.

Along with me in the above photo is some of my Leadership Bulloch classmates who also attended. We were also featured in this issue. Thanks Statesboro Magazine! Photo: Anna Lee Mitchum (Thanks honey!)

Krisha....cooking???

Yes! I cook. And I think that I can fairly well, but you may need to ask my husband for an objective opinion. Ha! No, really, I do love to cook, and that is why some friends and I decided to take one of the several culinary classes offered at Christopher's Restaurant located in the Midtown Market. What a great decision that was! We had a blast, while learning some very valuable things about cooking. The photo below was the "Cheers Cocktail Party" and yes, we learned new recipes to some cocktails too! Campbell and Chaney were great instructors, thanks guys for a wonderful class! I'm looking forward to the next one.

For further info on these classes, contact Sybil Fickle at sfickle@georgiasouthern.edu or Karen McNeany at kmcneany@georgiasouthern.edu.
