Krisha and Timmy get married!!!!

Krisha Lee Craven and Timothy John Phillips were united in marriage at six in the evening on Saturday, March 31, 2007. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Carol Morgan, at Statesboro First Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Whitfield of Statesboro and Stanley Craven of Atlanta and is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Quinnie M. Zeigler of Sylvania. Krisha is the owner of Krisha Craven Photography in Statesboro.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Nall of Charleston and Johnny Phillips of Statesboro and is the grandson of Alma Rita Wiggins and the late Earl Franklin Phillips of Statesboro and Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Rigdon of Leefield, Ga. Tim is the owner of Southern Sound in Statesboro.

Music was provided by organist Pierce Dickens, soloist Janet Swanson and Chris and Ashlee Mitchell. Guests were greeted by Rachel Smith, Malory Lanier and Whitney Hinson, all of Statesboro. The bride’s book was attended by Samantha O’Brien of Statesboro.

The church was decorated with altar arrangements of mileesh gladiolus, burgundy-tipped calla lilies and orchids, accented with curly willow branches, hypericum berries and asparagus fern. The chancel rails and family pews were draped with garlands of greenery and ribbons.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her brother, Archie “Jay” Craven of Chattanooga, Tenn., Krisha wore an ivory strapless gown with a fitted ruched bodice, re-embroidered beaded lace, a tiered ruffled mermaid skirt with a chapel-length train. The mantilla fingertip veil was trimmed in ivory lace. She carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory mini calla lilies cuffed in custom-dyed ivory ostrich feathers.

Callie Paige of Statesboro served as the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Amanda Deal, Jessica McGlaughlin and Jordana York, all of Statesboro. The attendants wore tea-length gowns of bordeaux pleated organza with a modified halter, shirred midriff and a double-tiered hemline. They carried hand-tied bouquets of burgundy-tipped flame calla lilies and hypericum berries. The flower girls were Kimberly Phillips and Alexis Smith. They both wore sleeveless ivory empire waist dresses with organza ribbon tied in the back.

Honorary bridesmaids were Stephanie Cassedy of Statesboro, Gina Clary of Dallas, Texas, Melissa Fortenbery of Atlanta, Amanda Grantham of Tifton, Ga., Joy Key of Bainbridge, Ga., Jeanine McCloud of Tampa, Fla., Tiffany Mullis of Statesboro, Sarah Poe of Charleston, S.C., Danielle Simms of Atlanta, Liz Taylor of Atlanta, Amber Tucker of Statesboro and Paula Walsh of San Francisco.

Jason Bolton of Statesboro, served as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Deal, Billy Phillips and Michael Starling, all of Statesboro. Immediately following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Robbin’s Nest. Guests were greeted by Sandie Cryder and Tara Wilkes. The bride’s cake and the groom’s cake were served by Christie Brinson, Katie Jiminez, Mindy Stroud and Kim Smith.

On the eve of the wedding, the couple was honored with a rehearsal dinner given by the groom’s parents at The Statesboro Inn. Following a honeymoon to the Mayan Riviera, the couple now resides in Statesboro.
