You might never guess, from looking into the bright eyes and sweet smiles that you see captured on the faces of all of our wonderful children, that every session does not go smoothly. But yes, there are, in fact, moments both before and after those perfect ones when we aren't quite able to get every child to warm up to us, no matter how hard we try. Sometimes we even give Millie a hand at coaxing smiles and giggles from the little ones, but this morning, even Millie's charms didn't work on little Gene!
I have known his sweet Mama (Raushanah) since our cheerleading days in high school, and had the pleasure of photographing Willie and Raushanah's wedding not too many years ago, and today, even as Gene politely refused to smile for any of us, I loved being with their family... and especially with perfect little Gene--(half)smiles, pouts, and every moment in between!

I am not saying this because I am his mom, but he is so handsome.
You are truly a gifted photographer. This morning was complete chaos but you still managed to capture the true essence of my child.
He is man of few words ands this picture proves it.
